Cress Heads in 7 Days - Egg Box Gardening for Kids

Right then, if your kid has the attention span of a goldfish like mine, this is the one. 7 days from sowing to eating.

What You Need

  • Egg box

  • Cotton wool or kitchen roll

  • Cress seeds

  • Water

  • Marker pen

  • Empty egg shells

Steps

  1. Draw face on egg shell.

  2. Wet cotton wool in egg box.

  3. Sprinkle cress seeds thick.

  4. Water daily — don’t drown.

  5. Day 7 haircut — cut with scissors and eat on egg mayo.

Top Tips

  • If it goes mouldy you sowed too thick — try again. I do it all the time.
